So for now I need to be livin' it...NOT bloggin' it!
I got up and headed straight for Key's to get the carrot cake I ordered. I forgot my coffee at home on the counter, so without enough caffeine in my system I failed to actually LOOK at the cake I ordered. It was supposed to be iced with just white icing to look like a wedding cake, but nope....it had carrots on it!
I got an extra copy of the Sunday Pioneer Press, since Mom & Dad's photo graced the front page of the local section! Needless to say, they got quite a bit of attention as they moved through the day!
I had Stella take a few pictures before the party started at church, but did not have my camera in my hand again until it was all over. I have NO pictures of all the people who shared the day with us! ( if you were there...and taking pictures...please email me any you have!)
Here are a few pictures from before...

So many people came to honor Mom & Dad! It was wonderful to see them all! I tried to say hello to everyone but I may have missed some! Stella and her friend from church Emily Purdham worked so hard in the kitchen, cutting and serving cake, filling beverages and candy dishes! I did not have to think about a thing! Stella and Randy started washing the dishes and soon Kathy and Marge were by my side asking how they could help and just jumped in and had tables cleared in record time! With all the help we had the tables, chairs and dishes done we were packing up to go by 4pm!
The END! |

It was fun because I could finally share all the party planning that went on for a YEAR without her knowledge! I just needed to let off steam and relax! It was great! Home to bed around 10:00 and I am NOT going to the fair Monday.
