I'm not supposed to be here....

I spent last night in the ER, due to an unfortunate insect attack.  Stella was my wing man, filling out forms and offering medical info.  My right arm & hand were useless.  As I walked into a crowded ER, and was triaged in about 10 minutes, I heard the triage nurse tell the room assignment guy that she need to bump....I don't know who got bumped  but I was in a room in minutes and seen by a doctor in less than 2 minutes.  They took my reaction very seriously.  Even I was getting a little worried about what kind of mess I was in with the rapid response.  There had to be people worse off than me.   doctor treating me with long lasting steroid and allergy meds.  Slower acting than epinephrine, but an epi injection gives me 8 hour jitters and a 16 hour crash.  I was grateful for the conservative route.  I had to be back at the fair!   The attending said "maybe you should stay away from the fair for a few days." ...I said "maybe, ~NOT!  We had obviously never met.
The silver lining in this is I had some downtime this morning to update the blog!  I was three days behind until today.

Apparently medical dispensation gets you back in the garage at the Simpson Street lot.  Luckily no Park & Ride for me today.

I iced, rested and got to moms in time to walk over for my shift.  I messaged my forest boss man Dan to tell him my health predicament, but he was already aware thanks Facebook.  I didn't think I'd be fit to run the photo booth today, but he assured me, he had it all figured out!
was the street welcoming committee!  Lots of friends stopped by, Dave & Katie (missed you Margaret  H!), Gayle & Wendy delivered my coveted Salsa recipe card!  It turns out, mom came over this morning in time to fulfill her own gift basket!  Here is the blue winner!

I got to the forest in time to check on the cereal give away, no new samples today.  The "Go RVing" traveling promotional exhibit has been near us at the forest this week. But was replaced by the good people of McDonalds, with longer lines, spinning wheels for free t-shirts and coupons.

Our visiting author in the Forest today was Dara Dokas who wrote a very toddler friendly tale, so I got one autographed today!

I won't lie, after four hours on my feet, with venom, depressants and stimulants coursing through my veins, I was exhausted. I needed some food.

I was crossing the street, heading north, paying too much attention to my phone, when I heard ..."Heather, I thought you weren't supposed to be here!"   I looked up spy 3/4th of this awesome family!  (Eldest son is not a fair fan).

Told them my ER tale of woe and they were gracious listeners and then I headed to giggles campfire frill for another healthy helping of Iron Range Meat & Potatoes.
Just what I needed.  Too exhausted to walk back down to Lienie Lodge, I found a bench at Baldwin Park stage for mom & David to join me later for the County Talent Show.

David took this picture of Heather Office as I attempt to get some blogging done at the talent show!

Only 15 acts tonight, so it was a shorter show.  Afterwards, I was without pie for two days now, so I mustered my remaining energy and walked with Mom & David to the food building to get my fifth Tipsy Pie! ( and bring one home for moms next door neighbor Mary.  This was my face when Sara's husband told me they *just* ran out of blueberry.
He told me I could call Sara and reserve some tomorrow!   I hope that won't be necessary, since now I might need pie for breakfast again.

Here is most of the anniversary gift assembled!

Tomorrow I am excited to hang out with my bestie Nancy all morning!  Pray I'm feeling much improved and have more stamina!

Almost 10k steps today.  My body is telling me, it might have been 9K too many!
